OMNI 5.4-5.85 Ghz
This vertically polarised variable sector has been designed for the 5.4-5.85GHz band. The variable sector exhibits excellent return loss characteristics with VSWR of typically less than two across the band. A sector of 180 (11dBi), 120 (13dBi) and 90 (14dBi) degrees can be achieved by adjusting the two external screws on the back of the antenna (see photo below). A measuring tool is provided as a guideline for setting the beamwidth.
One of its greatest benefits is the variable azimuth beamwidth. It also gives the provider the flexibility to accommodate more users in a certain coverage area by narrowing the beamwidth of the installed sector antennas and adding more sector antennas. The diagrams below illustrate this by showing a provider starting with 2 x 180 degree sectors in the initial stages of a project. This can be expanded gradually as the need arises.
The variable sector allows you to add sectors as your subscribers increase. Note that the sectors can be set to any beamwidth you require.
It should be noted that the sector can be fine-tuned for any beamwidth, and not only the ones used for specification purposes.
The antenna comes with a scissor tilt bracket and can be pole or wall mounted. The dimensions are 380 x 90mm and it weighs 1.5kg. It has a rugged, waterproof design and is meant for outdoor use.
